Setup & Patch Management

´╗┐The Liquit Setup Store lets you easily create and maintain packages. The Liquit Setup Store is a library consisting of over a thousand setups which are fully configurable.

Connector

Setup & Patch Management requires the Liquit Setup Store connector to be configured, please add the connector as described on the connector page. You can access the Resources interface from the Liquit Setup Store connector, here you will find all available setups and patches. By selecting the desired setup or patch your able to create them within your environment as packages.

Create new packages

  • Name Friendly name for this package, how it will be known in the Liquit system.
  • Package type
    Can be default, managed or unmanaged. Default reverts back to the default value of the connector settings.
  • Customize Settings
    Allows you to alter settings of the msi, by default the best practices are already in place.
  • Update existing package
    If the package name already exists the package will be overwritten.
  • Commit Snapshots Create snapshots for updates.

Entitlements
The entitlements for the package
The entitlements tab lists all the entitlements for this package. You can use the search bar on top to add identities to the package and configure how they should be available to the user.

Update packages

The Liquit Setup Store can provide automatic updates for managed packages, you can choose to keep all your installer settings.

Update button
When updates are available for a connector the Updates button will become available, when clicked the available updates will be shown.

Customize settings
Ticking this checkbox allows you to change the settings for the installer.
Commit Snapshots
When this checkbox is checked the updates will be added to the package as a snapshot.

Update Summary
The summary screen for the package that is to be updated.
Tick the box and click on 'Finish' to create the package and edit it.

Automatically check for updates

To automatically check for updates and to receive a notification when updates are available.
A scheduled task has to be created for the Setup Store connector, where you can specify when to check for changes and where to send e-mail notifications too. Optionally you can supply to download or immediately apply the updates.
