Categories

Categories allow you to specify a category which holds a set of packages.

Add new Category

There are no categories by default, so you'll start off with an empty list. Click on 'Add' to start adding a new category.

  • Name
    A friendly name for this category. This will also be shown to the user.
  • Icon
    You can select an icon for this category. This will show in the Launcher section of the workspace in front of the category.
  • Color
    Assign a color to this category, which will set the background on the workspace for packages contained within this category.

Click on 'Next' to display the summary.

Tick the box and click on 'Finish' to immediately edit the newly created category.

  • Name
    A friendly name for this category. This will also be shown to the user.
  • Description
    Here you can enter a description.
  • Icon
    You can select an icon for this category. This will show in the Launcher section of the workspace in front of the category.
  • Color
    Assign a color to this category, which will set the background on the workspace for packages contained within this category.

Adding packages to a category

Next we have the 'Packages' tab.
This allows you to quickly add packages to this category. You could for example create a 'Microsoft Office' category and quickly add the packages 'Excel','Word','Powerpoint',etc. that you created earlier to this category so they can all be found in a single place where the user might expect them.

As expected, the list starts empty. In the search bar you can start typing the name of packages in your Liquit system to start adding them to this category.

Attention

You'll need to have created Packages to be able to add them to the list.
