Packages

The Packages configuration is where you'll manage everything related to the packages (Apps) you make available to your users.

You'll be presented with a list of all the configured packages in your Liquit system. Click on the 'Add' button to create a new package.

There are a lot of different options to choose from, so we'll detail them in the next sections.

Install Application (Custom)

The custom types request minimal information on creation and allow you to fully customize the package afterwards.

Select the "Install application (Custom)"" from the list and click 'Next' to continue.

  • Name
    A name for our packages.
  • Icon
    An optional icon for this package.

Enter your details and click 'Next' to go to the summary screen.

Tick the box and click 'Finish' to create the package and edit it.

  • Name

    Publish this package after creation.

Enter your details and click 'Next' to continue.

  • File
    Enter or browse for a file to use as an install action.
  • Upload file
    Tick this box to upload the file to the Liquit content store.

Enter your details and click 'Next' to go to the summary screen.

Tick the box and click 'Finish' to create the package and edit it.

Local Application (Custom)

    Use the icon from the local file.
  • Arguments
    Optional arguments to pass to the file.
  • Directory
    An optional working directory.

  • Create file exists filter
    Tick this box to automatically create a filter to check for file existence.

Tick the box and click 'Finish' to create the package and edit it.

Remote Application

    A name for our packages.

    The IP address or hostname of the Remote App server.
  • Port
    Port of the Remote App server.
  • RemoteApp
    The name of the Remote App.
  • RD Gateway
    The RD Gateway address.

Enter your details and click 'Next' to go to the summary screen.

Edit Package

Here we can configure a number of details for our package.

  • Name
    The name for this package.
  • Display name
    Change the name that will be displayed to the user.
  • Type
    The type of package.
  • Description
    An optional description for this package.
  • Icon
    An optional icon for this package.
  • Enabled
    Whether this package is enabled or not.

This screen lists package statistics about launches (Success and Failure).

The events tab lists all the events that occured for this package.

The entitlements tab lists all the entitlements for this package. You can use the search bar on top to add identities to the package and configure how they should be available to the user.

The categories tab lists all the categories this package is associated to. You can use the search bar on top to add categories to this package.

The licenses tab lists the licenses that are associated with this package. You can use the search bar on top to quickly add a license association to this package.

the snapshots screen

The snapshots tab lists all the snapshots for this package. Whenever you change something, changes are saved to a snapshot. This allows you to easily revert to a previous working condition if problems should arise from your changes. When making a copy of a package, you can select the snapshot you want the copy to use. This allows you to quickly create a copy of a package and make changes to it to test them out, without disrupting the user(s) of the original package.

  • Process
    How to process the actions:
    • Sequential
      Run them one by one in the order they are listed.
    • Sequential, ignore errors
      Run them one by one in the order they are listed, but keep going when errors are encountered.
    • Stop at first effective action
      Run them one by one in the order they are listed, but stop as soon as one is allowed to run based on the filters in the action.
    • Stop at first successful action
      Run them one by one in the order they are listed, but stop as soon as one action is successful.
  • Frequency
    How often to run this action:
    • Once per device
      This action will only run once for each device.
    • Once per user
      This action will run once for every user that logs in on a device.
    • Always
      This action will always run.
